I am a direct ancestor of William Patrick Murray who homesteaded in Custer Co., Neb. I have the original documents. His daughter, Mary Gertrude Murray (aka: Mame) married William Arnold Hudson. Their children were Dorothea Elizabeth Bek (deceased) and William Keefe Hudson (living). I am the daughter of William Keefe Hudson. Would like to share/exchange information

I am looking for an obituary on my great aunt. She was on the 1930 census living in Ansley, Ne. Her name is Edith Comstock, and she was married to Truman E. Comstock. I don't know when she died but it had to be after 1930. She was born in 1888. She had two sons that I know of: Willis D. Comstock born 1910, and Ralph E. Comstock born 1914. Would be willing to pay for the obituary. Even if she didn't pass away there, being a long time resident there, I would hope there would be an obituary for her. Please e-mail me @ jes@qwest.net Thank You, Judy Slater Perry

I am looking for Robert Harry Purcell who went to NU in 1961. I believe his father was the publisher of the Custer County News. His sister's name was Penny and she was a couple of years older than Bob.

My mother was born and raised in Nebraska, much of it in Broken Bow ~ I know she attended school there and also became a nurse and worked at a hospital which was run by Catholic nuns or something of that sort. She was born in 1917 and came to California by 1941. I think it would have been possible for her to have been a nurse in the mid to late 1930s. Her name was Luretta Harbert and her sister Lelia was also a nurse. Does anyone know where she might have been a nurse in Nebraska where the hopsital was run by the Catholic Chruch or nuns? I have no way to find our any info on this and thought I would try posting this little bit of info to see if anyone might have a clue. Thanks for any info you might be able to provide. Darlene

I am tracing the Swenson family roots in Sweden. Possibly Svensson was the original spelling. John and August shared a homestead, later known as Ash Creek Ranch, near Cumro. I am trying to find any information on this family, especially August. I believe these two were borthers, and they were both on record as having been on this homestead tract in 1880: Section 6, Township 13, range 19, this was recorded on Volume 101, page 204. John, who was probgably originally Johann, was born in Sweden in 1-26-1838, married Helen Marie Johnson (or Peterson) and died in Custer County Apr. 1, 1917. I am interested in finding out any more info about his brother, August. August may have been born in 1842, as the 1880 census list included him saying he was 38.
