William Sherman OUDERKIRK and his wife Louella DUNLAP lived in Ansley, NE, 1890 - 1893, where their son Edward McLure OUDERKIRK was born 3 Sep 1890. Although the OUDERKIRK family moved to Colorado around 1894 several of the DUNLOP family remained in Custer County. Louella D. OUDERKIRK, was a daughter of James H. DUNLOP from Ohio who settled in Custer County in the 1880's with a large family that included the following children. Annabelle DUNLAP who married Johnney BRYAN before 1884 and homesteaded at Clear Creek Valley. They were parents of five children Winfield, Webster, Wilbert, Francis & Johnney before 1895. McClure DUNLAP who married Fannie HURTZELER at Kingston, NE, on 18 Oct 1893, witnesses William S. & Louella OUDERKIRK. Richard DUNLAP who married Harriet in 1895 and were parents of 3 children Hazel, Earl and Harry between 1897 and 1900 while living at Myrtle Twp, Custer County. The Johnney BRYAN and Richard DUNLAP families remained in Custer County and perhaps their descendants may still live in the county today. Your ideas and suggestions on possible sources of data would be much appreciated.

My paternal grandmother, Helen Amanda Crisman, was reportedly born in Lomax, NE (Custer Co.) on Nov 2, 1907. I've been told that her father, Carleton Burdette Crisman, was the station master for Union Pacific RR in Lomax. Carleton's father was William Samuel Crisman. It is unknown whether Carleton Burdette or William Samuel were born or died in Nebraska. Thanks for your help in advance.
