BAKER, SHEFFIELD I collect old postcards. Recently bought one addressed to Mr. Almon M. Baker, Broken Bow, Nebr. c/o Mr. J. Sheffield. Message reads: "Thayer, Kans. 5-17-09. Dear Children: We are very glad you are enjoying your selves. We are well. Have had plenty rain since you were here. I was down and stayed Saturday night with the children. They were well. Sayed they had had a card from Iva; but did not know where to address you. Not sure but Swan's colt may be a bay. It is quiet shy of all of us. Other colts are doing well. Straw berries are beginning to ripen. Mamma" It is postmarked 17 May 1909 from Thayer, KS. Thought any of the family left in the area might enjoy a copy of the card.
