Does anyone know anything about the Wiler Family -where they came from, etc. that had land in Custer County in 1880-90. My mother was a Wiler and I have researched her line back to abt. 1860 and wonder if this Wiler Family is related. Her grandfather, was born in Germany in 1840. Any Wiler information and sharing appreciated. Clydene

I am looking for information on my great grandfather and great grandmother Peter & Emma Burton. I am told by relatives that my great grandmother was a Cherokee Indian. I am wondering if you could tell me how to find out if this information is true or how to find out.

Paul had a daughter, Ida May Cramer, who married John Walter Hetrick and they were living in Hays Township, York Co., Nebraska ca 1882. Paul's widow, Elizabeth went to live with them after Paul's death. By 1920 the Hetrick family is found in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska. I am most interested in what happened to Samuel G. Cramer and his wife Sarah and have no idea what would prompt a move from Ohio ca 1882 ... perhaps land?!? I have been unable to find any land record or cemetery listing of them. I am not familiar with family research in Nebraska as this is my first venture into the area ... "virtually". Samuel's daughter, Missouri, my great grand mother, moved back to Pennsylvania in 1882 at the time her parents and some siblings moved west to Nebraska. Any help or direction would be appreciated. My great grandfather was Walter Watson Bishop. My grandmother, Madge was his daughter. I am looking for a connection to Louise or Louisa Bulter as I have just found some photos of Ms. Butler. On the photo it says, "Cousin of Madge." Thank you.

I am looking for information on Catherine Johnson Felske. She was born Catherine Johnson in Schleswig Holstein Germany in 1868. She immigrated in 1869 with her family. In about 1888 she married a William Felske and they lived in the Ansley area of Custer County Nebraska. Their Children were Emma, Ida, Clara, and Lewis (adopted I think). She died sometime after 1936 and I am seeking her death date and where she is buried pr any informtion that you may have. I think William is buried in Ansley but there is no mention of her there with him that I can find. Thank you.

I am researching information on William Stuart. He is found on the 1885 Custer County census with his son Charles James Stuart (2 days old) and wife Mariah Cornelia (maiden name Keezer, earlier marraige name VanVlerah). William is listed on the census with a birth around 1840 in Scotland. I am looking for any information on William, his ancestors, his marriage to Mariah or his death. Thanks!

I would very much like to have a copy of an obit that may be in a Custer County newspaper. Here is what I'd like to have: Sylvester Wesley Dale, Broken Bow, Nebraska, passed away on January 12, 1949. Happy to repay any expense for this obit if it can be found. If it isn't found here, pleasegive me some info on where it might be. Thanks, Doris Reed Forsyth
